Setting up Slack alerts for form submissions
Per-form channel routing, message templates, RSVP buttons for bookings.
Connecting Slack
Getting form submissions into Slack means your team sees enquiries the moment they arrive, without anyone watching an inbox. In your dashboard, open Integrations and choose Slack, then Connect. Authorise Avago in the Slack workspace you want to post to. Once connected, you can point your forms at Slack as one of their submission destinations.
Per-form channel routing
Different forms often belong in different channels, and Avago lets you route each one separately:
- A general contact form might post to #enquiries.
- A quote request might post to #sales.
- A careers form might post to #hiring.
Set the channel on each form's submission settings. Routing by form keeps the right people looking at the right messages instead of everything landing in one busy channel.
Customising the message template
You control what each Slack message looks like, so it's readable at a glance:
- Choose which submitted fields appear in the message.
- Order them so the important details — name, contact, enquiry — come first.
- Add a short heading so people know which form fired.
For booking forms, messages can include RSVP-style buttons, so a team member can accept or respond to a booking straight from Slack.
Keep Slack as one destination among several, not the only one. Pair it with the dashboard so there's always a stored, searchable record even if a message scrolls out of view.
